Electric bikes – with Kashi Leuch, Jack Pivac and Karyn Chalk

Electric bikes are becoming an increasingly common sight in Dunedin which is not surprising in that they perhaps be the perfect solution to cycling in hilly Dunedin! In this programme I chat with Kashi from Bike Otago about the electric bikes he sells, and also with Jack Pivac and Karyn Chalk about the electric bikes they own.  Included in this programme, we chat about the specification of electric bikes that differentiates them from mopeds, some of the types of motors out there, plus we discuss the benefits and limitations of electric bikes for city commuting.

This programme was originally broadcast on  the  7th August 2014 with the help of Otago Access Radio 105.4FM. To listen to this programme about Electric Bikes please click on the following link http://new.accessradio.org/Player.aspx?eid=4041907d-871a-400b-b2c0-ab14db01599e
