Converting your car to electric – with Hagen Bruggemann

Running an electric car in New Zealand is very appealing. To have the convenience of a car but without many of the negatives – the greenhouse gas emissions (>70% renewables here), the rising fuel bills. However, buying an electric car is currently very expensive and requires manufacturing a new vehicle with its associated environmental footprint. So – is converting your existing petrol or diesel car to electric the answer? This programme should get you closer to making that decision.

In this programme I chatted with Hagen Bruggemann who has converted a car to electric and is now converting his second electric car (completed toward the end of 2014).

  1. Hello! I would actually love to listen to this podcast, but it appears to be unavailable, even though I’ve tried several different methods. Would you be able and willing to do something about that? That’d be great!

    • Hi there

I’ve tried it and it is working fine for me. Try clicking on it once, then wait …. its takes my computer maybe 30 seconds for the show to appear on Media player and for me to click Play. Please let me know if you are still having difficulties.

      Thanks for your interest,
      Maureen
